Same Old Story with FC Arizona

orange county fc and fc arizona put up a scoreless draw in the desert

Mesa, CA - During the 2017 NPSL season, Orange County FC and FC Arizona encountered a big problem: neither team was able to score a goal on one another.

The same problem didn't carry into the playoffs as OCFC defeated FC Arizona 2-0 last July, but things got back to their old ways on Saturday April 21 at John D. Riggs Stadium.

On the stat sheet, it was another shutout for OCFC keeper Brandon Gomez. But three draws and two wins so far in the 2018 NPSL season has put Orange County FC at third place in the Southwest.

Rumor has it that one of the FC Arizona head coaches attended OCFC's victory over Albion on April 18 in Irvine.

But out of four meetings between the two teams, FC Arizona has still yet to score a goal on Orange County FC.

A draw away from home can't usually be looked at as a negative thing, but three draws on the season mean dropped points in the Southwest standings.

Orange County FC will look to get back to its winning ways on Sunday April 29 when it hosts Riverside Coras at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine, California.
