ocfc add depth and experience in bejarano and moreno

Lake Forest, CA – Orange County Football Club is proud to announce that it has signed Colombian footballers Kley Bejarano and Roonie Moreno.

Bejarano, a left back, has played professionally for Baranquilla, Cortulua, and Fortaleza in the top flight of Colombian football. Bejarano has also played for Colorado Springs Switchbacks of the United Soccer League.

Striker Roonie Moreno was a member of the now defunct NPSL club SoCal SC during the 2017 season.

Both players made their debuts in OCFC’s recent scoreless draw away from home against FC Golden State on April 7.

“We are always looking to add depth to our team,” owner Nader Dejbakhsh said. “Kley brings strength to left side of our defense and he is dangerous on attack. Roonie Moreno has the size and excellent finishing skills we want in a striker.”

The U.S. Open Cup is approaching fast, and it comes as no surprise that Paul Caligiuri and OCFC continue to add depth ahead of the huge showdown with Santa Ana Winds FC on May 9 at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine.
