ocfc 2 continued its hot streak with a 6-2 victory over anaheim legacy

Lake Forest, CA – OCFC 2, the hottest team in the UPSL Pro Premier, made it five wins in a row Saturday night at Lake Forest Sports Park with a 6-2 victory over Anaheim Legacy FC.

For the second consecutive match, OCFC 2 put up six goals on the scoreboard in what is turning out to be an exciting season for the UPSL Pro Premier newcomers.

Surprisingly, it was Anaheim Legacy that drew first blood early in the match but OCFC 2 wasted no time in fighting back.

After some build up on the right flank, the ball found its way to Guilherme near the left side of the Anaheim Legacy penalty area.

The Brazilian striker made his way into the box and fired his shot low inside the far post to tie score at 1-1.

Soon after it was Dakota Collins who put OCFC 2 in the lead.

A free kick from Sam Merritt later in the half deflected into the net for an own-goal but Anaheim Legacy made amends for its mistake by scoring late to cut the OCFC 2 lead to 3-2.

Brent Reis started in goal for OCFC 2 but was replaced in the second half by back-up Alonso Lara.

There was hardly any drama in the second half as OCFC 2 put the game out of reach with goals from Guilherme, Caesar Garcia, and of course, Dakota Collins.

The hot streak also continued for Collins, who has now scored eight goals in the UPSL Fall Season.

Paul Caligiuri’s men continue to climb up the Pro Premier table and many are wondering just what has gotten into OCFC 2.

“We stay organized and we build up the field,” Brent Reis said. “The chemistry of the team is growing each week and it’s showing by the way we score.”

The season is winding down but as the wins keep coming, so will a play-off spot for the hottest team in the United Premier Soccer League.
