soccer season continues for three ocfc players in southern Spain

Lake Forest, CA - It has been a few weeks since Orange County FC's 2018 season ended in disappointment, but three members of OCFC are already taking their talents to a different level in Spain.

Goalkeepers Brandon Gomez and Bennett Sneddon and center back Kevin Belmonte are currently on trial with CD Almunecar City of the Spanish regional divisions.

Founded in summer of 2017 and based in Andalusia, CD Almunecar City is joint-managed by first team captain/coach Sean Morris, a former MLS player, and the club's General Manager Chris Darwen.

Striker Alessandro Canale had a brief spell with Almunecar City earlier in the year before returning to Orange County FC for the 2018 NPSL Regular Season.

Almunecar City prides itself on giving opportunities to soccer players from all over the world and has a direct link-up with the FC Malaga City Pro Season Academy, which offers academy graduates a direct route to competitive league soccer.

The entire Orange County FC organization would like to wish good luck to Brandon Gomez, Bennett Sneddon, and Kevin Belmonte in their professional soccer endeavors.
